TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays signed outfielder Jason Lane and infielder Brandon Fahey to minor-league deals Monday and invited both to spring training.

Lane, 32, appeared in 110 games between Triple-A Scranton and Pawtucket last season, posting a .233 average with 18 home runs and 60 RBI. The six-foot-two, 210-pound Lane has appeared in 497 major league games, primarily with Houston, hitting .241 with 61 home runs and 189 RBI.

Fahey, 28, posted a .226 average with nine doubles, two triples and 12 RBI in 58 games last year with Baltimore. Fahey was a 12th-round pick of the Orioles in the 2002 major league draft and spent the last three seasons with the organization.
