ARE, Sweden - Canada's Alexandre Bilodeau captured his third consecutive gold medal Saturday, winning the dual moguls at a freestyle skiing World Cup.

Bilodeau, from Rosemere, Que., won the gold-medal final against Guilbaut Colas of France, who took the silver. Maxime Gingras of St. Hippolyte, Que., won the bronze, knocking off American Sho Kashima.

Kristi Richards of Pemberton, B.C., finished fourth in the women's event.

A day earlier Bilodeau, 21, led the second-ever Canadian sweep of the podium in the moguls. Last week, he won moguls gold at Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver, B.C.

"It's awesome just to have a weekend like this," said Bilodeau. "What's the most fun is the five podiums (the team) had this weekend. The Canadians are so strong."

Added Gingras: "It's an incredible day. I think it's the best ski day I've ever had."

Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau of Drummondville, Que., won silver in Friday's moguls while Vincent Marquis of Quebec City took the bronze. Jennifer Heil of Spruce Grove, Alta., won the silver Friday in women's moguls.

Marquis was ninth Saturday while Rousseau was 12th.

Heil missed her top jump in the qualifying Saturday and finished ninth. She remains second in the overall standings.

Chloe Dufour-Lapointe of Montreal was 10th.

Hannah Kearney of the U.S. beat Aiko Uemura of Japan to take the gold, while Austria's Margarita Marbler defeated Richards to win bronze.

With the win, Bilodeau moved to 590 points atop the moguls standings. Colas stayed in second with 434. Marquis has 277 points in third place. Only two events remain on the schedule. Each win is worth 100 points.

Canadian-born Dale Begg Smith of Australia, the 2006 men's Olympic gold medallist who clinched the World Cup moguls title here last year, did not compete.
