The man who turned himself into police Friday following a string of southern Ontario bank robberies has been revealed to be a vice president at a major Toronto investment firm.
Kevin John Pinto, 37, surrendered to police Friday afternoon, one day after the Canadian Bankers Association offered a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the so-called "Exchange Bandit."
Pinto is charged in 10 bank robberies since 2003, and suspected in a dozen others.
He is currently under suspension from his job at Paradigm Capital -- located in the same neighbourhood as a Scotiabank hit by a robber on Sept. 12.
He is set to appear in court Monday for a bail hearing.
