Spring is now in full swing.

Seasoned golfers and hackers can rejoice because all five of Toronto's public golf courses are open, starting Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Detonia Park Golf Course, Don Valley Golf Course, Humber Valley Golf Course, Scarlett Woods Golf Course and Tam O'Shanter Golf Course are all ready for play.

All five courses are accessible by TTC routes.

Coun. Norm Kelly (Ward 40, Scarborough-Agincourt), chair of the city's parks and environment committee, got the ball rolling Tuesday morning when he teed off at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course, officially kicking off the golfing season at public courses.

Golfers will likely see some so-so weather during the courses' opening week.

A high of 11 C is expected Tuesday, with winds gusting to 40 km/h. A cloudy day is expected Wednesday, along with another high of 11 C.

Showers and a high of 13 C are expected Thursday, followed by a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 6 C on Friday, according to Environment Canada.
