Hundreds of fans on Queen Street got a surprise treat: a sneak peek at the MMVAs as many of the performers are rehearsing for the big show.

Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, and Kelly Clarkson took to the stage Saturday.

Many fans walking by the parking lot of MuchMusic/CP24 headquarters at 299 Queen Street West stopped to get a look and listen.

The full MMVA show gets underway live Sunday night at 9 p.m.

Stick with CP24 all weekend as we lead up to the big event. We'll have the red carpet arrivals on Sunday.

Performers at this year's awards include powerhouse musicians such as Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Nickelback, Black Eyed Peas, Alexisonfire, Billy Talent, Classified, Rise Against and Shiloh. The show will be co-hosted by uber-popular boy band the Jonas Brothers.

Twilight's Taylor Lautner and Rachelle Lefevre, Rumer Willis, gossip blogger Perez Hilton, reality TV stars Kim Kardashian, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and sports stars Chris Bosh and Alexander Ovechkin are among the presenters.

Danny Fernandes, who will also present, and Nickelback lead the pack with five nominations each.

Organizers want to remind you that if you come down to watch the show in person, you should not line up before 6 a.m. Sunday morning. The large amount of equipment on the ground makes it unsafe for fans to camp overnight. Police will ask anyone who arrives early to leave.
