Peel police are on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver after a man was struck and killed early Saturday morning.
The 40-year-old Brampton man was hit just before 6 a.m. on Bovaird Drive, east of Kennedy Road. Police say they were notified by motorists who called to report a man lying on the roadway.
The victim, Mandeep Bhagtana, later died in hospital.
Police say the vehicle they're looking for will have damage as a result of the collision. They've recovered vehicle parts from the scene, and are appealing to the driver to surrender.
Investigators have seized key pieces of evidence, including a traceable portion of the driver's side-view mirror from the suspect's vehicle.
