FRISCO, Texas - Kenny Cooper scored two goals, including the equalizer in stoppage time, to give FC Dallas a 2-2 tie with Toronto FC on Saturday night.

After Toronto's Marvell Wynne put Toronto ahead in the 88th minute, Dallas mounted a frantic last-minute rally that resulted in Cooper being awarded a controversial penalty kick as stoppage time began.

Cooper even had to execute the PK twice. His first attempt was nullified because teammate Andre Rocha moved off the line prematurely. On the second try, Cooper drilled a low shot to the right of diving goalkeeper Greg Sutton.

Toronto's Marco Velez tied at 1 in the 72nd minute.

Dallas extended its unbeaten streak to five (2-0-3) and sits one point behind Kansas City, who won earlier Saturday, for the eighth and final playoff spot. Meanwhile, Toronto, 1-4-4 in its last nine, is four points back for the last spot.

Two games remain for each club.
