NORTH BAY, Ont. - The day after a woman and her daughter died when their utility vehicle plunged into a frigid Ontario lake, a man was killed when the snowmobile driven by his partner crossed over open water.
The couple was snowmobiling Sunday near North Bay at Trout Lake when the machine ended up in the icy lake.
A woman, identified as Karen King, was able to pull herself to safety but her partner, Andrew Will, couldn't be lifted out of the water by neighbours who rushed to help.
