A 45-year-old man is facing several impaired driving charges following a fatal crash in Etobicoke on Sunday night.
Emergency crews were called at 10:30 p.m. after an SUV crashed into a Honda Civic on Highway 27 at Vice Regent Boulevard.
Toronto police say a woman in the car was killed and four other occupants were hurt – including a six-year-old girl who suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV allegedly fled the scene and ran into a banquet hall, where he tried to mingle with the guests, police say. Igor Kresko was arrested a short time later.
He is facing seven charges including impaired driving causing death and criminal negligence.
Kresko was scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon.
