Millions doled out to fired execs at eHealth's precursor agency

CTV News has uncovered a multi-million dollar payout to executives linked to Smart Systems For Health, eHealth’s precursor.

Seven executives received a total of $2.1 million in severance packages when the Liberal government cleaned the house at Smart Systems For Health about a year ago.

The massive severance packages were signed in April of this year, some adding up to as much as $500,000.

This new information comes from thousands of pages of documents the Ministry of Health made available to reporters yesterday.
