The northbound lanes of Highway 400 at Major Mackenzie Drive have reopened following a deadly crash Saturday morning.

OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford says a Chevrolet Cavalier was attempting to re-enter the highway from a service station when it collided with a  Dodge Dakota around 9 a.m.

The female driver of the Cavalier was pronounced dead at the scene and nobody in the Dakota was hurt.

Woodford also says that while the Dakota was hauling two snowmobiles, one of them went flying off the trailer in the crash.

All lanes finally reopened around 1:45 p.m.
