TORONTO - The New Democratic Party has nominated Julian Heller to run for the party in next month's byelection in Toronto's St. Paul's riding.

Heller has lived in St. Paul's for over 25 years, and says he understands the needs and concerns of the community.

A trial lawyer, Heller has been an active community leader working with parents to fight cuts in schools, and with ratepayers to fight development.

Heller will run against Liberal Eric Hoskins and Tory Sue-Ann Levy.

Voters in St. Paul's head to the polls on Sept. 17.
