Hamilton police say a 19-year-old driver who died following a single-vehicle crash in Hamilton hit a concrete pillar underneath an overpass.
The collision happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in an industrial area on Burlington Street East at Parkdale Avenue North.

One individual pronounced deceased.

The deceased man was the vehicle's sole occupant.
Hamilton Police Service said emergency responders assisted with life-saving measures on the victim, but he died at the scene.
"Investigators continue to work with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision," police said in a Feb. 14 news release.
Currently, Parkdale Avenue North is closed north of Glow Avenue. Burlington Street East is also off-limits between Strathearne Avenue and Nikola Tesla Boulevard.
