Pat Quinn is back holding the reins of a Canadian national team.
Hockey Canada has officially hired the veteran coach to take over Canada's entry at the upcoming world junior championship in Ottawa.
The position has been open since Benoit Groulx stepped down two weeks ago to accept a position in the American Hockey League.
The 65-year-old Quinn most recently coached the Canadian team that won gold at IIHF world under-18 championship in April.
Some of the players from that squad will be among those competing for a job on the world junior team.
This will be the 10th international team he's been involved with.
Quinn last coached in the NHL in 2005-06, his seventh and final season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He's also worked for the Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks.
