Person airlifted to hospital after crash at Brampton intersection

One person has been airlifted to hospital after a two vehicle collision at Mayfield and Airport Roads in Brampton.

The OPP says one person has suffered serious injuries before 11:30 a.m. on Friday. There are reports a car went into a tree.

The intersection has been shut down and may be closed for up to three hours.

Emergency services are at the scene.

Police don't know what caused the crash and they are unsure if snow and icy roads were a factor.
