PITTSBURGH -- Sidney Crosby has an undisclosed injury, and it's unclear if the Pittsburgh Penguins star will be able to play Saturday night against St. Louis.

Crosby left Thursday night's game at Phoenix with five minutes left in the second period. After the game, a 4-1 loss by the Penguins, he would only say he had "some discomfort."

Penguins spokesman Frank Buonomo would not not elaborate on the injury Friday. The team cancelled Friday's practice because it landed in St. Louis just before dawn.

The Penguins have a pre-game skate Saturday, and the team said Crosby's availability for the game will depend on how he feels.

Crosby has three goals and 10 assists in 11 games. He is the team's second-leading scorer behind Evgeni Malkin.
