A single vehicle rollover on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 killed one driver and snarled traffic Friday night.  Police say that speed was likely a factor in the crash.
The crash occurred at about 9 p.m. Friday, in the collector near the highway's Victoria Park exit.
Firefighters worked for some time to free the trapped 46-year-old male driver, but he OPP later confirmed that the man had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that it appears that the driver tried to make a last minute lane change and lost control of his car.
Speeding has been a factor in several traffic incidents this week, with police impounding four cars Tuesday night in cases of speeding. The OPP reminds drivers to slow down, as they can impound a vehicle immediately for speeding.
