Thousands of bikes recovered when police busted a massive theft ring last month are being moved to a new location.

Although the bikes are still in storage, police say the public may get another chance to come down and view the bikes, depending on what happens with court proceedings connected to the theft ring.

Igor Kenk, a bicycle shop owner, is facing several charges. Police allege he was at the heart of the bike theft ring.

Sgt. Jeff Zamut says the bikes are now being stored at 35 Strachan St.

"We're hoping to keep them there and house them there until they make a decision with what to do with the bikes.

Zamut says over 5,000 people came to try and identify their bike, but only 466 have been recovered so far.

About 2,500 bikes are still unclaimed. Police say they may also hold a police auction.
