Police are looking for a suspect after a TTC driver was assaulted in Etobicoke Monday afternoon.
Cost. Tony Vella says the driver was on a route near the East Mall and Rathburn Road when he was punched and smacked in the head.
He has no serious injuries but police are investigating the assault, Vella says.
The suspect is described as male, black, with a black jacket. He was last seen fleeing the scene on foot.
TTC operators have been calling for increased safety and security aboard transit vehicles. So far, over 1,300 vehicles are equipped with cameras.
Officials say that all buses and streetcars will have cameras by the end of February 2009.
