There is a different twist now to the nationwide listeriosis outbreak, as mushrooms have been added to list of foods being recalled.

The recall covers the eight-ounce pack of Fresh Obsessions Brand ready-to-serve, pre-sliced white mushrooms. The lot code is R12398.

The produce in question came from Ravine Mushroom Farms in Woodbridge.

Health officials say there have been no illnesses linked to the mushrooms and the recall is just a precaution.

On Monday, the number of deaths related to the outbreak reached 12 after another fatality in Ontario.

Health officials have linked the outbreak to processed meat products from a Maple Leaf Foods plant in North York and more than 240 deli meat products have been recalled.
