A 52-year-old woman is in hospital after slamming her vehicle into a tree in Etobicoke early Friday morning.
The single-vehicle crash occurred just before 2 a.m. near Redgrave Drive and Clarion Road, which is in the vicinity of Martin Grove and Dixon roads.
Police say the woman was driving a 2011 blue BMW on the westbound lane of Redgrave Drive when for unknown reasons left the road and struck a tree.
She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say. The circumstances surrounding the collision are unknown.
*Roads in the area were closed for the investigation.
