A two-alarm fire in Toronto’s Pape Village neighbourhood Sunday morning sent one person to hospital.
Firefighters were called to the building near Pape and Mortimer avenues, north of Danforth Avenue, shortly after 6 a.m. to find the structure fully engulfed, police said.
One person was rescued from the building’s roof and treated for smoke inhalation. Toronto Paramedic Services told CTV News that they transported an adult male to hospital in stable condition.
The fire has since been extinguished. Road closures are in effect in the surrounding area.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
