Peel police have arrested four people, including two minors, in connection with an armed robbery at an electronics store in Brampton.
Investigators say that on Saturday, shortly after 5 p.m., four male suspects entered a store near Steeles Avenue West and McLaughlin Road South, allegedly produced a firearm, and demanded merchandise. The suspects then fled in a waiting vehicle.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
Police say officers from the Tactical Unit and 22 Division investigators tracked the suspects to the area of Dundas Street West and Kipling Avenue in Toronto.
After a brief foot chase, all four were arrested. Officers also recovered a loaded Glock 19 handgun with 11 rounds of ammunition and an extended magazine.
Two suspects, ages 14 and 15, are facing multiple charges, including robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and possession of a prohibited device.
Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Police have also identified the other two suspects as 18-year-old Chayim Abecassis and 20-year-old Oluwafemi Oladekoye, both from Toronto.
They are facing numerous charges, including robbery with a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and disguise with intent. Oladekoye is also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
All four were held for bail hearings and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.
