Toronto police are looking for a suspect who allegedly stole a woman’s debit card and PIN in the city’s east end last month, and investigators are concerned there may be more victims.
It happened near Danforth and Greenwood avenues at approximately 1 p.m. on Dec. 30, police said in a news release.
The suspect allegedly asked the woman for change, and then demanded her bank card and PIN. Police said he then fled the scene with the victim’s card in a red vehicle, described as a Hyundai Elantra.
No injuries were sustained by the victim.
It’s unclear if the suspect withdrew any money from the victim’s account, but images released by police appear to show him at a bank ATM.
He’s described by police as being in his mid-50s, with a skinny build and grey and white facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, and a grey hooded sweater, black jacket, dark pants, and brown shoes.
