Toronto police have arrested two people, including a 17-year-old, in connection with an armed robbery in North York.

Investigators say that on Sunday, at around 3:30 p.m., a victim met with a suspect near Sheppard Avenue West and Yatescastle Drive to sell an item. It’s alleged that an altercation occurred, during which a firearm was seen.

Police say the victim managed to push the suspect away, but the suspect fled without paying. The victim was taken to the hospital with “serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”

Following an investigation from 31 Division’s Major Crime Unit and setting up surveillance in the area, officers were able to later track the suspect getting into a vehicle.
