Two men have life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Brampton Tuesday night.

According to Peel police, a tractor trailer and a car collided at Walker Drive and Woodslea Road just after 8 p.m.

Both men travelling in the car needed to be extricated from the vehicle, Peel police Const. George Tudos told CP24 at the scene.

The driver of the car, believed to be in his 20s, was transported to a Brampton hospital. The passenger in the car, a middle-aged man, was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately known.

“We hoping that somebody may have witnessed what took place,” Tudos said.

Police continue to investigate.
