A late-night patrol on Highway 400 ended in charges after police say they spotted a vehicle driving unusually slow and drifting between lanes.

Parry Sound police officers noticed the vehicle travelling below the speed limit around 2 a.m. on Sunday while patrolling in Seguin Township.

After stopping the driver, officers conducted an investigation that led to impaired driving charges.

A 47-year-old of London has since been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.

Police say the accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date. He also received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
