AJAX, Ont. - Police have released the cause of death in the case of a woman found dead in her townhouse in Ajax, east of Toronto.
Investigators have determined that Nasira Fazli, 31, died as a result of "sharp force trauma."
Fazli's husband, Feraidon Mohammad Imbrahem, 31, is charged with second-degree murder in her death and remains in custody.
Police have said Fazli was found in the home on Friday night with obvious signs of trauma and that her death was believed to be domestic-related.
Imbrahem's next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 6
