A man has died after being struck by a vehicle near Toronto Pearson International Airport, paramedics have confirmed.
It happened on the ramp from the northbound lanes of Highway 427 to Dixon Road shortly before 9:30 p.m.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, paramedics said.
According to Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, the man was struck after getting out of his car on the shoulder of the ramp.
The ramp is expected to remain closed from several hours as police continue to investigate, Schmidt said.
