A new poll by Forum Research Inc. released on Sunday suggests that most residents approve of Toronto Mayor John Tory.

Three quarters of the 882 voters questioned -- or 74 per cent -- said they approve of the job Tory is doing as mayor. Approval for Tory was the highest among residents over the age of 65, residents who earned between $100,000 to $250,000, and those who had completed post-graduate studies.

The poll was conducted by phone June 14 via interactive voice response. Canadian adults were chosen randomly.

Tory’s approval rating was virtually unchanged from a poll conducted a month ago on May 17.

The poll is considered accurate to within plus or minus three percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
