Peel Regional Police have identified a suspect arrested in connection with a stabbing inside an Air Canada operations facility in Brampton.

Const. Rachel Gibbs told CP24 that 48-year-old Stephan Campbell, of Milton, is facing three charges after a man was critically wounded in a stabbing at the Air Canada facility, located on Ironbridge Road, near Mississauga Road and Highway 407, at around 10 p.m. last night.

The circumstances around the stabbing are not clear but police have confirmed that the victim remains in hospital in critical condition.

Campbell has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon and possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He is expected to appear in a Brampton court today for a bail hearing later today.

Police have not said if the suspect and the victim knew one another.
