Toronto Police are investigating after shots were fired at businesses and cars in the Wexford and Dorset Park neighbourhoods of Scarborough overnight Saturday.

Police were called to the corner of Ellesmere Road and Dundalk Drive sometime after 12:30 a.m. to find shots fired into a stairwell of a bar nearby.

Police tweeted an armed suspect was in the area with a group before firing and fleeing the scene. Nobody was injured in the shooting.

Just after 4 a.m., police were called to a plaza near Lawrence Avenue East and Warden Avenue. Shots were fired into storefront windows and cars parked nearby.

No one was injured in that incident.

Police have closed all lanes of Lawrence Avenue East between Elinor Avenue and Tower Drive to allow for an investigation.
