Toronto police are asking the public for help to identify a man in a pair of suspicious incidents in the Rosedale area.

Both incidents involved a man who police say leered at young girls near Yonge Street and Roxborough Street.

The first incident occurred May 16, when a group of girls was approached by a stranger. The man picked up an item that one of the girls dropped and he began leering at her after he handed it back to her, police said.

He then left the area.

On May 30, between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., a man approached a group of girls in a store and leered at them, police said in a news release.

After an employee told the man to leave, he approached another girl in the parking lot. A passerby told the girl to leave and the man fled the area, police said.

The man is white, about five-foot-10 and in his 30s and he walks with a limp. He was wearing a grey baseball hat and a grey shirt.

Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 416-808-5300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
