Dozens of suspects are in police custody following "Project Cabra," a series of heavily-armed police raids early this morning.

Police say over 20 search warrants were executed on homes and businesses in the GTA, and a large amount of cocaine has been seized.

Police say the warrants are the result of a six month investigation by the Toronto Drug Squad. Police from York, Peel and London regions are also involved, as well as the Canada Customs and Border Services.

Some high end residences were targeted in the raid, police say, including one by Yonge Street and the 401. Other raids took place on homes in Etobicoke and other areas of North York.

Vella says the raids are ongoing, and police will hold a press conference this afternoon to release more information.
