Law enforcement officers in California are investigating after allegations of battery and uttering threats were made against Justin Bieber by a neighbour Tuesday morning.
Speaking with CP24 Tuesday afternoon, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore said that the call reporting the alleged altercation in Calabasas was received shortly after 9 a.m.
“This is being investigated as we speak,” Whitmore said, clarifying that battery is defined as “unwanted touching.”
“It’s one thing to say something, and it’s another to actually find out what happened,” he added. “We need to investigate it, and we are certainly going to do that.”
Whitmore said there is currently no timeline on when the investigation might be concluded.
