Police in Durham region will spend the day looking for new clues in the fatal shooting of a man in his 30s who was found lying in a pool of blood Friday.

The man, whose name has not been made public by the police, was found outside a home on Stevenson Road, a residence located in a north Oshawa community.

He was rushed to a local hospital at around 8 p.m. but was pronounced dead.

Durham officials say detectives and forensic experts will spend Saturday interviewing neighbours and combing the crime scene for evidence.

No arrests have been made in the case, police said.

This is the region's third homicide of the year.
