AJAX, Ont. - Police are investigating an armed sex assault which took place in Ajax Thursday night.
They say a 28-year-old woman was walking through a park near Westney Road and Ritchie Avenue around 9 p.m. when she was approached by an unknown man with a gun.
Police say the man robbed and sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing.
The suspect is described as a thin black male who was wearing dark clothing and a dark covering on his head.
Durham Region police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
