BOSTON -- Outfielder Rajai Davis has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Toronto Blue Jays because of a strained oblique muscle in his left side.

Davis was hurt during Friday's 5-0 loss at Boston, and the roster move was made Saturday, when Toronto recalled right-hander Chad Jenkins from Double-A New Hampshire of the Eastern League.

Davis is hitting .284 with one homer and four RBIs in 26 games.

The 25-year old Jenkins made one start for New Hamphire. He was 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA in 10 relief appearances for the Blue Jays last season.
