Toronto police say they are looking for a 27-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery that took place in Chinatown last week.

The suspect is being accused of walking into a home in the Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue area uninvited on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Police say he was confronted by a 59-year-old woman who was inside the house but that nonetheless, the suspect managed to push the woman aside and flee the property with her purse.

The next day, the suspect struck again, this time allegedly robbing a bank in the Church and Wellesley streets area.

Police say the man went up to a teller and demanded money, threatening that he had a gun.

The suspect was able to get away with some cash.

Investigators have identified a man they believe may be responsible for the incidents though the allegations have not been proven in court.

Jonathan Hebert is described as a white man, about five-foot-six and 150 pounds with black hair.

Police are asking anyone who spots the suspect to call 911. They are also warning the public that the suspect may be dangerous.
