Melissa Duggan

Melissa Duggan joined CP24 in April 2024 reporting on the stories that matter most to people in the GTHA, both live from the field and from the anchor desk. She is based in Toronto. Prior to joining CP24, Melissa worked at CityNews for more than a decade, starting as an associate news producer on Breakfast Television, and in 2018 taking on the role of reporter, anchor and producer covering international headlines. Born in northern Ontario, she grew up in the little town of Whitefish, near Sudbury. After attending school in Toronto and Montreal, she started her broadcasting career in radio newsrooms before shifting to television. Her first radio role was reporting local news at Q92 in Timmins, followed by anchoring morning news on Flow 93.5 in Toronto. Her transition to TV involved a move to Kingston, Ont., where she would go on to anchor and produce several news programs at CKWS/Global TV.
