Tori Stafford's father says he has mixed feelings about the publication ban in the case of the woman who pleaded guilty to killing his daughter.

Rodney Stafford says it did allow his family to digest the facts of eight-year-old Tori's killing and deal with them away from the cameras.

But he says the delay in revealing Terri-Lynne McClintic's guilty plea last April has meant that he and his family have had to relive the tragedy.

A Supreme Court ruling cleared the way for the publication ban to be lifted yesterday.

The ban was imposed to preserve the constitutional rights of Michael Rafferty, who was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping alongside McClintic.

Rafferty's lawyer has said his client intends to plead not guilty and will contest all charges against him.

Rodney Stafford says Tori's family wants to move on, but can't because the information is coming out so gradually.

Tori was abducted last year as she left her school in Woodstock, Ontario.
