Toronto police have charged one of their own after a man was assaulted at a police station last week.

Police said the assault occurred at 41 Division headquarters on Friday at about 4 a.m.

A man was arrested by police and taken to the police building, where he was assaulted by an officer as he was being processed, police said.

Police said Const. Matthew Glen, 32, is charged with assault causing bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 12.
