A Toronto police officer has been charged with sexual assault after meeting with a woman through an online dating service.
Constable Gaganpreet Singh Grewal allegedly met the victim at a coffee shop last Sunday. The woman says she was sexually assaulted a short time later.
The 26-year-old suspect was off duty at the time of the alleged assault. He surrendered to police at 14 Division on Wednesday.
The constable has one year's service and is attached to 23 Division. Grewal is due to appear in court on December 9.
