There are big changes at the TTC with the commission rolling out what it calls its single biggest service boost in recent history.

The changes will affect almost all 168 bus routes in Toronto with the addition of 93 more buses during rush hour, starting Monday.

Almost all of these buses will operate until 1 a.m. to coincide with subway service hours, it says.

The TTC says the changes will have a huge impact on every rider in the city.

The continent's third-largest transit service also says its 12-month ridership hit an all-time high in mid-November with 465 million rides.

Reports say the service improvements will cost $21 million this year.
