Four teenagers are facing dozens of charges in connection with a carjacking and two store robberies in north Etobicoke and North York this month.

The two most recent incidents happened on Monday evening.

Toronto police said they responded to a robbery call just before 8 p.m. near Kipling Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard.

Investigators said four suspects in a stolen Toyota RAV4 collided with another vehicle.

One of the suspects allegedly approached the vehicle and pulled the driver out, while another suspect allegedly brandished a handgun.

The pair then entered the vehicle and drove a short distance away, police said.

Police said another suspect then went back to the victim and demanded they hand over their keys. The suspect then allegedly produced a handgun and assaulted the victim, who sustained in minor injuries.

The suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle and the stolen RAV4.

Hours later, at 10:14 p.m., officers got a robbery call near Steeles Avenue West and Weston Road.

They believe the same four suspects attended a store wearing masks to conceal their identities. Two suspects then allegedly brandished handguns and demanded cash and merchandise.

Officers arrived quickly and were able to take all of the suspects into custody.

Police said they recovered a handgun and a replica handgun as well as items related to the investigation.

In a news release on Tuesday, investigators revealed that they also recovered the stolen vehicles.

Furthermore, two suspects were allegedly involved in a robbery near Finch Avenue West and Highway 27 on the morning of Jan. 7.

Wearing masks, the suspects went into a store, rushed behind the counter, and demanded cash, they said.

The suspects then allegedly assaulted the employee before fleeing with a quantity of cash and merchandise.

Two 16-year-old boys and two 15-year-old boys, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been charged with a total of 54 robbery, breach of release order, and firearm-related offences.
